Blue Jeans For America Cares Event

America Cares will hold the 5th annual Blue Jeans For America Cares Event-For the Families of Our Fallen Soldiers and Veterans from Sept. 10th – Sept. 14th , 2012.Participating businesses, church groups, organizations, students, families and individuals are recognizing the sacrifice of those in our community, in a voluntary philanthropic cause.  Any donations are welcome, and contributions are tax deductable under section 170 of the IRS Code. The donations for the Blue Jeans event benefit the America Cares charity, a federal and state 501 (c) (3) organization.

To additionally support the Blue Jeans event, we ask that you wear casual blue jean attire on September 11 (include if you would like, some red, white and blue). There is no easier way to demonstrate one’s support for the surviving families of servicemen and servicewomen who have made the ultimate sacrifice.  Be one of thousands of people throughout the country, all wearing blue jeans and casual attire on September 11, 2012, in support of this cause.

All donations should come in the form of a check made out to “For the Families of Our Fallen Soldiers and Veterans or Donate Online. In the memo section of the check write:  America Cares

America Cares’ goal is, ‘To provide a Gift of Comfort to each of the Families of our Fallen Soldiers and Veterans.’ The contents of the Gift of Comfort box are:

  • book and CD entitled “Until Death Do Us Part, A Letter To Our Loved Ones”
  • the humanity bracelet ® and the inspirational booklet “Words to Live By” ©
  • CD entitled ANTHEM
  • royal blue coral fleece blanket
  • 4 oz. bag of an herbal blend tea with a stainless steel tea infuser
  • patriotic mug
  • crystal votive candle holder and candle
  • a personalized gift card

This request is not intended to pass along any mandates, or make any political statements. Anyone can choose to participate on his or on her own, and those who do participate are not being asked to do so because they support or oppose any of our country’s foreign policies.  We are simply asking people to participate because they appreciate the sacrifice of our fallen heroes. Thank you for supporting this very worthy cause.
