2011 Veterans Day walk to honor veterans

Nov 11, 2011 Veterans Day walk to honor veterans, 4:00 pm at the labyrinth located at Rotary Common, 315 Main St., in downtown Nashua, NH. This is a time of reflection and a time to walk to honor veterans. All are welcome.

Dear fellow supporter,

It has been 93 years since the first Armistice Day, which took effect at 11:00 in the morning, the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918. This year, on November 11, 2011, we reflect on this day with solemn pride of the heroism of our soldiers who have fought and died for our country. In gratitude for their service, and in sympathy for their families, we are asking for your help to honor these brave men and women.

America Cares for the Families of our Fallen Soldiers and Veterans is having a fundraising campaign online through our web site until Nov. 30. This will allow us to raise enough funds this year so we may send out Gifts of Comfort Boxes on December 6, 2011 for the families of our fallen soldiers and veterans who have given the ultimate sacrifice. We encourage you to donate online on our web site at www.americacaresusa.org before Nov. 30. We thank you in advance for your contribution and support. Any donations are welcome, and benefit the America Cares charity, a federal and state 501 (c) (3) organization.

America Cares’ goal is, ‘To provide a Gift of Comfort to each of the Families of our Fallen Soldiers and Veterans.’ The contents of the Gift of Comfort box are:

  • book and CD entitled “Until Death Do Us Part, A Letter To Our Loved Ones”
  • the humanity bracelet ® and the inspirational booklet “Words to Live By” ©
  • royal blue coral fleece blanket
  • 4 ounce bag of an herbal blend of special teas with stainless steel tea infuser
  • patriotic mug
  • crystal votive candle holder and candle
  • a personalized gift card
  • Anthem CD

This request is not intended to pass along any mandates, or make any political statements. Anyone can choose to participate on his or her own, and those who do participate are not being asked to do so because they support or oppose any of our country’s foreign policies. We are simply asking people to participate because they appreciate the sacrifice of our fallen heroes. Thank you for supporting this very worthy cause.

Sincerely,

America Cares, Board of Directors

Yvonne Ametller Dunetz, President
Valerie Raudonis, Vice President
Michaeline Della Fera, Second Vice President
Danielle Beaudette, Secretary
Robert Blaisdell, Treasurer
